Want a free iPod? I do!

Featured in the Sunday times and on the BBC website, FreeIpods.com is a genuine way to get a free iPod, woah!

The way it works is that you sign into the site, and sign up for a trial offer! Then you get a few other people to sign up and get a free ipod and your sorted!

I thought this sounded like a scam when I saw it, but it actually works so today I thought I’d give it a go. Just have to remember to cancel my subsciption after the trial period ends.

“There is a Kitten on my Desk!”

A few days ago, Katharine and I were having lunch when we heard a loud screeching noise coming from the garden, which, on further inspection turned out to be a lost kitten hiding behind a flower pot!

I thought the best thing to do was to lock all the doors in a hope it would head back to its home, but stupidly I omitted from my memory that we have cats and therefore cat doors! So, about half-an-hour later the screeching sounded strangely louder than before, which was because the kitten was now in my kitchen.

It now appears 4 days later that the kitten has taken up residence in my house!
There are signs all over the neighborhood but seems nobody has realized they have lost a kitten yet.

IKEA & VPN

Well today I further anticipated moving into the new house in September by heading off to IKEA with Katharine to have a look at bedroom furniture.

The wardrobe I have in my uni room is more like a tree than a wardrobe and I think I would rather hang clothes in a tree! So I bought an IKEA flat-pick thingy which should do for a couple of years. I think I may head back for a return visit because they have so much cool stuff, and its all cheeep!

I also wrote a ‘nice’ letter to the landlord asking for a new cooker, sofa and smoke alarms. I hope he will enjoy the 80+ photos I sent him of damage in the house.

On the note of VPN, Manchester Uni have finally realised that not all students live on site and have implemented/released a VPN allowing us to access our faculties files off site, as if we were on site! Nice work!

p.s. I’m back from holidays!
