It is a very sad day!
I returned to my house in Manchester to find that everybody has gone home!
Its very strange being in the house with nobody else here, I will definatly miss everybody!

This morning about 5.30am, I was woken up by the sound of sirens and smashing glass. There was shouting in the street and I couldn’t figure out what was going on, probably because I was still half asleep in bed!
When I looked out of my window, all I could see was police everywhere and the first thing that sprung to mind was terror raids like the ones in the news last week. However I brushed away the sleep from my eyes and peered down the road only to see a huge cloud of smoke gushing from a house down the road.
Some of you may know I had a fire a few years ago, which was fairly bad, but it was nothing like what was going on this morning. Unfortunately because it was early in the morning, the house had people in it, and when I stopped gazing at the plumes of smoke, I noticed that there were a few of the residence being given emergency treatment by the firemen before the ambulance arrived.
I later spoke to a fireman who said they were extremely lucky to have survived.
The firefighters, the ambulance crews and the police did a great job, and it left me thinking how lucky we are to have these services provided for us.
